Andrew is the SEN Programme Manager for Major Capital Delivery Service within Education Authority (EA).  Andrew has had many years’ experience as an Architect both in private practice and public sector, and has worked on both sides for various school buildings, particularly over the past 11 years as Project Sponsor or Senior Responsible Owner for projects with the EA. 

He worked as Project Sponsor for the construction phase of Castle Tower, Ballymena, a SEN school designed for 285no. MLD and PMLD children and handed over in 2017.  The EA and Design Team worked collaboratively with the school to deliver exceptional learning spaces for the children and young people who have directly benefited from the design approach undertaken.  Andrew was also involved in the completion of Ardnashee School and College, handed over earlier this year, where the spatial design built upon the learning from Castle Tower and other schools, delivering an exception environment for the pupils.

Andrew is currently working to deliver on a 10-year programme of new and extended SEN schools across Northern Ireland, listening to and learning from educators from each school, seeking to improve environments and

spaces for SEN children and young people in NI.
