Diverse SPACE
With over 25 years of experience supporting children with additional needs, Lorraine McAleer blends personal insight, professional expertise, and lived experience to drive meaningful change. A former teacher, she co-founded Learning SPACE, specializing in resources for diverse needs, and Diverse SPACE, an innovative, neurodivergent-led training program promoting understanding and inclusion. Diagnosed with autism at 38, Lorraine combines her personal journey with professional knowledge — including a Graduate Certificate in Autism from Middletown Centre for Autism and University of Limerick — alongside ongoing training to ensure the latest, most effective support strategies are shared. Inspired by her sister Emma, who has Soto syndrome, Lorraine is passionate about empowering families, educators, and professionals with practical tools and resources that create immediate, positive change. Working collaboratively with occupational therapists, parents, and teachers, she focuses on building inclusive environments where children feel connected, understood, and able to thrive.
