We are pleased to announce the full conference programme from the 2025 edition of Learning Environments Northern Ireland. Designed to spark meaningful dialogue and practical insight, the agenda brought together a diverse range of sessions that reflect the evolving priorities in the design and delivery of learning environments in Northern Ireland.
Building on experience from working with schools across the UK and Ireland, Nicole will showcase how iPad - a fully mobile, portable powerhouse with built-in accessibility features - supports creativity for all, a mission shared by Adobe.
In this lively session, you will see a simple, impactful project: using a photo of a classroom and empowering students to reimagine their learning environment using generative AI in the C2k-provided tool, Adobe Express. Join to discover how you can bring learning environments to life with Apple technology and Adobe Express.
Hear from the team at Cedar Lodge School, a special education school in Belfast. The school provides education for pupils from Nursery to Year 15, covering all areas of learning mandated by the Northern Ireland Curriculum.
The school is an Apple Distinguished School, and you will learn how Apple technology has supported digital learning within a SEND School environment. The team will share how the iPad has transformed the way students learn and how the technology has been successfully integrated into daily life. The iPad has been deployed 1:1 across the school and has been used to inspire learners and support children with severe learning difficulties.
The session will conclude with demonstrations of the built-in accessibility features of the iPad that you can take back to your learning community.
This session will showcase Shared Education Campuses in Northern Ireland: Strule Shared Education Campus and Ballycastle Shared Education Campus.
For 21 years, the EA AmmA Centre has been a constant presence in Northern Ireland, funded by the Department for Communities, supporting schools in integrating technology and creativity into teaching and learning. In this session, Daniel O’Reilly, Director of AmmA and Apple Distinguished Educator, explores outdoor learning through four connected perspectives — technology, nature, creativity, and the built environment. Drawing on AmmA’s extensive experience in teacher training and school-based collaborative workshops, he will showcase practical approaches to taking learning beyond the classroom, linking activities directly to and across the curriculum.
The session will highlight examples of creative workshops that embrace the outdoors and demonstrate how digital tools such as Minecraft Education can be used to reimagine and rebuild aspects of the built environment, inspiring pupils to see their world differently.
The Gala Dinner will be a prestigious night where the education sector will come together, and it will be an excellent opportunity to network with your peers whilst enjoying a luxurious 3-course meal.
